How much does a Matterport Virtual Tour cost?
Matterport Virtual Tours tours are priced on the size of the space being shot. This starts from £275, and increases in cost based on the size of the space being captured.
What is a ‘Mattertag’?
A Mattertag is a virtual tag that can be added inside any 3D Matterport Virtual Tour to help communicate additional information and add context to specific locations, objects or features directly inside a 3D Virtual Tour. We include these free of charge for our projects! They can include copy, images or video.
What information do you need to prepare a quote?
The size of the space dictates the cost of a Matterport virtual tour. When asking for a quote please let us know the number of rooms you have, the amount of floors and if possible, the size of the floor space. If you have floor plans or architects drawings these are very helpful .
How long does a shoot take?
A 3 bedroom show home can take one of our Matterport photographers between 1-2 hours to capture. Large spaces may take multiple days, depending on the access and timescale available for shooting.
How many people are present at the shoot?
Just a single 3D scanning Matterport photographer is present at each Matterport shoot.
Can we include people within our tour?
We recommend that Matterport virtual tours are scanned when no people are present. However, this doesn’t mean that people can’t be in a shot if this is unavoidable. We do strongly advise that people stay in their positions for the whole shoot if this is the case.
Can you edit images to remove items or blemishes?
No, Matterport imagery cannot be edited to remove any items or blemishes that may be in view. We can blur content if this is required.
How long until our Matterport Virtual Tour is ready?
Most scans are uploaded to the Matterport servers 24-48 hours after the completion of the scan. It can the take up to 24 hours for the scan to be rendered and ready for sharing. Larger Matterport projects with multiple scans can take longer, so if you have a specific deadline, let us know so we can accommodate it within our workflows.
We require BIM files for design applications, can you provide these?
Yes, once scanned your Matterport virtual tour can be used to process a set of BIM files for use in software such as Autodesk’s® Revit. This is classed as an add-on, and as such are priced separately from your standard Matterport scan cost. Available files included in a BIM output are as follows -
- RVT file (compatible with Revit 2020 and newer)
- .DWG (Floor Plan)
- .DWG (Reflected Ceiling Plan)
- .IFC (IFC4, Industry Foundation Classes)
- .RCS (ReCap Scan, a point cloud)
The Matterport BIM File is for those who work in the AEC space (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), such as the following:
